And another conference on AI? On the 18–19th April, I took part in AI Expo Global, an event hosted at the Olympia National, London, in which more than 10,000 attendees discussed not only AI and Business Intelligence, but also topics like IoT, Big Data & Analytics and the emergence of blockchain
How I met Sudha Jamthe, a noted author of several books on IoT, who is now focusing her attention on the driverless world and how I got invited to the IoT Summit in San Francisco on the 12th April: a few keywords from this event that illustrate the wide spread of IoT and Machine Learning within very different applications.
At Konica Minolta Laboratory Europe we keep focusing on Artificial Intelligence, especially with an interest on applications for future workplaces, digital healthcare and digital manufacturing. After the AI Summit of New York during which we presented Cognitive Hub, we have just launched a research topic dedicated to the Workplace of the Future within the open access journal ‘Frontiers’, and in few days, our Executive Director and Deputy CTO Dennis Curry will take part in the AI Expo Global.
One year ago our new Konica Minolta Laboratory Europe website appeared on line for the first time. Let me share with you some data looking back over this first foundation year: 43 Pages and 38 blog posts covering our categories of News, Healthcare technologies, AI for business, Digital Workplaces, Computer Vision and Robotics. Almost 11,000 users with more than 37,000 page views.
Monday 12th February 2018. Konica Minolta opened a new research facility in Rome, Italy - confirming its transformation into a platform-led, IoT business and demonstrating to continue investing in innovation.
