The first R&D laboratory of Konica Minolta opened in September 2015 in Brno, Czech Republic. Within this first year of activities, Konica Minolta Laboratory Europe has taken the first steps to demonstrate the value of research and innovation applied to the digital workplace, healthcare, sensors and information automation, and business technologies.
“The activities of this year constitute the first steps of a global strategy that sees R&D as a lever to enable Konica Minolta to evolve into a problem-solving digital company”, says Dennis Curry, Vice President & Director, Business Innovation and R&D Europe. “We aim at creating value for our customers and overall for the society, by exploiting the latest innovation and technologies”.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is one the topics that characterize the research in the laboratory. In fact, Konica Minolta Laboratory Europe has supported the AI Summit, one of the world’s foremost events about the practical implications of AI for enterprise organizations. With a keynote speech by Dennis Curry given at the event that took place on 28-29 September in San Francisco, Konica Minolta demonstrates how AI can bring additional value to digital workplace concepts.
